Born in 1971 from the visionary spirit of Marchesi Antinori, a winemaking family with 26 generations of history, it boldly broke from traditional Chianti Classico regulations. It was the first Sangiovese to be aged in small oak barriques, the first modern red wine to use non-traditional grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) in its blend, and the first red wine in the Chianti Classico area not to include white grapes. The 2018 vintage continues this legacy, showcasing a wine of exceptional power, finesse, and aging potential.
